can you imagine all the information that game developers can store on a disk this size? what are your thoughts?

Actually, some PS3 games and movies already push the 50GB blu-ray disk to maximum compacity. Know your facts before posting mis information please.
drakes fortune and metal gear solid 4, BOTH have maxed out the 50GB blu-ray disk. Let alone the fact that movie studios have also already maxed out the capacity of the 50GB disk.

As the article points out, this disk is in experimental stage, though by the sounds of it, PS3 software developers will be able to make use of this as soon as it is available. I doubt VERY much, that we will be hearing about a PS4 anytime soon - 2014 would be my earliest guess. A new version of the 360 (be it 720 or whatever) will probably be announced much earlier. Microsoft will need to do something, before Sony buries them.

yeah. the ps4 will be totally awesome. i hear they already have an idea of what to make for the ps4, ps5, and ps6 already. they're also going to make a psp2! and i think i know what the ps4 will be. i saw a picture and i don't know if its the ps4, but it was from SONY. its where you wear theses glove things and the game does your hand movements. its awesome!

What game has push the 50GB blue-ray disk? Game developers have admitted that their trying to learn what the disk can and can't do with all the space of the game. If you are considering game such as assassin creed as one of the game to use or push the 50GB disk I would have to disagree. The only game I could think of right now that might have put a dent in the game would have to be uncharted drake fortune. Anyways beside that argument I think that it would be awesome and the game would just get better and longer. Forget about the past and get prepare to life like games and more depth in graphics and game play. Also offer more features depending on the type of game. Just imagine game like drake surrounding as a first person shooter game. Future games would just be breathtaking. Next time someone ask why should they get a ps3 this link alone is enough to get a ps3 console
