Problem with Playstation 2? -
10-07-2008, 02:37 AM
Here's the deal. I bought a PS2 2 weeks ago to catch up with gaming before getting a PS 3 (russian 40gig version doesn't support ps 2 games). I have 4 games: MGS 2 sons of liberty, Black, MGS 3 Subsistence and Gran Turismo 4. The console is a slim version, european, index is SCPH - 77008. The memory card is 8 mb sony card, supporting magic gate. The trouble is that while GT4 and MGS2 save games no problem at any time, Black and Subsistence stop recognizing the memory card right when they begin to save. Black checks the card, offers me to choose a slot to save to, then twice shows the "saving, do not remove the card" message, then check again (without finishing the save) and offers to choose a slot. when I do so, It says mo card found. MGS 3 - same deal It just stops seeing it all of a sudden. Once, After Black showed showed this problem 5 times in a row, I reset the console and the console didn't see the memory card. What could that be all about and what should I do& The shop I bought the console in said they checked Black and GT 4 (I gave them to them) on 2 consoles with two memcards, and the result was the same. GT4 saves, Black don't. If someone had such a problem, please tell me how you solved it. PS: and if someone knows how to backup game saves from memcard to a PC without a card reader, tell me that also.
