OK most of the computer gamers have over clocked rated systems.

This is the XXX version the over clocked.

XFX GeForce 8800 GT XXX Video Card, 512MB DDR3, PCI Express 2.0, SLI Ready

This one is not.

XFX GeForce 8800 GTS Video Card - Alpha Dog Edition, 512MB DDR3, PCI Express 2.0, SLI Ready

Which one should i buy

1st :179.99$

2nd :174.99, 209.99$ with out the mail in rebate.

You should get better performance out of the first one.

I would definitely choose the 1st one. It is cheaper and provides more performance than the second one.

As a general rule, I don't buy "overclocked" processors nor video cards. Nor do I overclock them myself. I have experimented with overclocking in the past and found out the hard way why doing that voids the warranty. I ruined a couple of video cards and even ruined a motherboard once doing that. Even if the parts don't overheat and fail, overclocked processors and video cards still become less stable and less reliable than before they were overclocked. You are pushing the device past the limits it was designed for so it's risky.

If you do some more looking, you'll find that there are GeForce 8000 and 9000 series cards out there that have a higher clock speed than both the cards you listed have. That's the best bet.

I'd go with a PNY GeForce 9600 GT 512 MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 SLI Ready card for about $129.99 if I were you.

Both are pretty good but if u want it for playing games and stuff, then the 1st one is more useful!!!!!!

but basically they are kinda the same, just some differences!!!

if you are talking about US$ then, neither - a 4850 or a 9800gtx will out-perform both those cards and is available at the same price range.

An 8800 ULTRA 768mb can be bought from tigerdirect.com for US$199 and will outperform all of them.

If you are talking about another currency, then the 8800gts will out-perform the 8800gt
