i've saved enough to buy 1 of the 3 game console... so will someone give me any ideas of which one is better... ps3/xbox/wii? please help!

Each of the consoles have their pros and cons
with PS3 you get a more movie feel from some of the games
Xbox 360 is orientated towards the gamer, with Xbox live which is not free like the PSN (playstation network) and the wii
The Wii is centered on family fun, childs play and classics redone.

xbox 360 is best with awesome graphics, games and online xbox live plus its more easy to control then wii and ps3 so thats what i reccomend but its your choice

wii is gr8, but its not on the same level as the ps3 or 360, personally id get the ps3 but lots of people will argue the 360 is better

PS3 might be good for the future (five or more years) as it has the hardware advantage with the best tech specs by far. However, developers are straying away from it because it's way too hard to program on it right now. It has a blu-ray player so that's cool but you have to save 1GB+ onto its HDD to even play a game so that's not so cool. If you want a media center to play music, watch movies, play high res games, etc then PS3 might be a good choice. But the pricetag is pretty harsh.

Or you could go the family friendly way with the wii. It's great for families and casual gamers that just want to play small mini-games and stuff like mario. Not really my choice. But it's really cheap, but somewhat hard to find (STILL). But that's all it can play: family games.

If you're a serious gamer or just want good AAA games, then the 360 is a good choice. The price is mid-range and they have the best exclusives. Hardware is decent and the devs can actually use it (just look at the unreal engine on gears of war). It's really good for the now and has a bright future as they're focusing on social gameplay rather than single in the upcoming year. I have the 360 and it's great.

There is no such thing as "best console". It goes by preference.

Wii is family/party console. Mostly rated E games. The best games they have are made by the Nintendo company.

360 has best online gaming and is focused more on gaming then the other consoles. But 360s break a lot which is mad gay.

PS3 is the best multimedia machine. Its the best for what it has built in since the 360 doesn't have Wifi or Blu-Ray and Wii doesn't have Blu-Ray.

well ps3 is like your own computer-bluray player-and game, id say ps3 because i have one and its awsome,ps3 is better gamplay,adventureish/shooter-xbox is microsft,my friend has one, and its mostly first person 1player shooter games, and it can crash-online has bugs,the wii is horrable unless u are a parent or need seriouse exercise/ also no good games. plus if u need excersize get some real exersize!

DON'T pick the XBox 360, that has NO specials.

The Wii: it has a very sensitive motion sensor, I'd even call it too sensitive ('bit unusable). However, it's the only console there are Nintendo games for, like MarioKart, which is strongly recommended.

The PS3: it too has an acceleration sensor (SIXAXIS), it works much more usable then the Wii's, but it's not integrated in every game. There are also trophies and downloadable games in the PlayStation-Store. It can also play Blurays, DVDs, and copy CDs to the HDD. It's an excellent card reader. It can store pictures, music, videos - the Wii can't. However, there's no Mario for PS3. Just the other great games (Ratchet, Civilization Revolution, Super Stardust HD, Assasin's Creed, WHATEVER (but not cheap...)! And: it has an HDMI outpud - the Wii doesn't.
Well, and the XBox doesn't have any worthy extras.

xbox 360- if you you love first person action games then this is the console for you and also its xbox live is far better than psn.There is a new dashboard coming soon and it has HD gaming.Bad thing is its quite noisy and you have a chance of getting the red rings of death.

ps3 -Blu-ray
- A great selection of games to choose from and the PS3 has now gotten a highly anticipated game title (MGS4) so there isn't any reason not to get a PS3
- Good reliability
- Built in WiFi with all models currently in production (40GB and 80GB currently in production, the 60GB had WiFi built in as well but it's no longer in production)
- Advanced and Powerful hardware (Cell Processor)
- 10 year life span.

Bad Things about the PS3

- Well, I wouldn't call it "Bad", but according to most of the gaming media PS3's Online service isn't as good as Xbox Live "currently", but Sony is adding new content to the Playstation Network and there's a lot of new features for the Playstation Store/Network on the way ( Video Store, HOME, In-Game XMB, etc...) But, the Playstation Network already has some of the same features that Xbox Live has.

wii-
The best family console out there if you looking for for a console for the whole of the family to play or your just a casual gamer then this is the console for you.There is loads of fun games like wii sports Mario kart, wii fit and loads for but the only bad thing is;is that
you can hurt other people (or yourself) while playing multi-player. All you really need is a decent amount of space to play it. Besides that though there really isn't anything BAD about it.
