I have been doing a lot of research online and it seems like the cheapest deal is for 499 and you get the 80 gb bundle with a game and a controller. Is there somewhere else either online or store where i can get it cheaper?

Yes that's the cheapest bundle. No i dont know where u can find it

you could wait until the 80 gig drops to $399 (confirmed by sony) or you could search on ebay for some that are cheaper

well your right but if you wait until september you'll get a new 80GB PS3 for 400$ the big drawback is NO BACKWARD COMPATIBILITY its basically a 40GB with 80GB hard drive

go to a store that the ones that you can get discount or coupons so you can save..

As of now, the 40 gig is $399 at walmart, but rumor has it that they are supposed to release an 80 gig for the same price for a limited time at christmas.

i saw one on ebay just for $152 the seller is %100 positive (dont believe check it out on www.ebay.com) and if you want it n retail its for $550

yeah the 499 version is the cheapest that u will get it for...

but word of advice.. if u get it amazon.com they will not charge tax and it will be free shipping if u select the slowest shipping.. most of the time is only a week long to get it...

so yea.. check amazon and save about 50 bucks in tax..
