it has happened to me. i tried holding the button while on standby for 5 seconds but with no luck. i dont have hd but thats not the problem. my warranty is out for a month so i cant exchange so please help. no wire is loose in the back. dont give stupid answers about hd cables and tuff like that. the simple stuff i would of tried.

I was using my ps3 on an HD tv with no probs. Then I went to my old tv and tried to use the ps3 but I only had a black screen.































I had to plug it back into the HD tv goto setting and set the output back to the lowest then I could use it again on my old tv...































That worked for me so hopefully you have the same problem
