You can buy it, go ahead. Because there will ALWAYS be something better coming out...no matter when or what you buy, they are always going to invent a new better version of it, it will KEEP doing that, so if you are going to wait, you will be waiting forever.

Yes it's worth buying, I don't think the prices will go down anytime soon.

The Wii is very good, I spend many of bored hours on it and playing with a bunch of friends. Good times.
The games are very good, but I wouldn't suggest dumping money into 2 mario kart wheels, the game is the same amount of fun with or without the wheels, save yourself some money while you're at it.

We bought a Wii and are loving it. So far we've purchased Mariokart, Mario Galaxy, Trauma Center, Wii play, and Wii Fit. All have been a lot of fun. It came with Wii Sport and I love the bowling!

1. No, it is still selling like hotcakes, most stores STILL don't have them in stock.
2. No, not for AT LEAST another 3 years.
3-4. Yes, I own the Wii, love the VC, Wiiware, channels, and ALL of the games you've listed are great, I've played them all and love them. Mario Kart is great, but the Wii Wheel is difficult for some, so I'd hold off on buying a 2nd wheel right away.

In short, if you can find it, get it As Soon As Possible!

2, Nope, its years of.
3, The best console available today in my opinion at least.
4, Mario Galaxy and Brawl I like, racing games aren't my genre and neither are party games, as for wiifit it doesn't have enough games out yet for me to even consider buying right now, although party games aren't really my genre I still enjoyed Rayman but the first one I liked more than 2.

Yes. I would say its worth it to buy now. But Nintendo is always trying to come out with new consoles, so the Wii won't be sold forever.

For your questions....

1) The price will most likely not drop soon. It's been at the same price since Nov. 2006, and sales are still great.

2) A new console comes out about every 5 years or so. So we may see a new one in 2011.

3) The Wii is a great console. Fun game selection, gets you moving, Mario games, fun to play with family/friends...

4) Super Mario Galaxy is one of the best games. Mario Kart is a good game from the reviews, but the wheels are optional. Super Smash Brothers Brawl is always recommended and is a great game. A lot of people love Wii Fit (its just a different way of exercising). Mario Party 8 is fun if you have three or more people playing with you.

I think that you will really enjoy the Wii.

1. I honestly can't see the price of the Wii dropping anytime soon because it is in such high demand.

2. I haven't heard of any news on a new console.

3. I have a Wii and I love it! It's a lot of fun to play & you won't feel guilty for sitting around the house and playing video games.. =)

4. I have Super Mario Galaxy, Rayman 2, & Mario Party 8.
I really enjoy Super Mario Galaxy (The sequel to Super Mario 64) & Rayman 2.. Even though I loved all of the previous Mario Party's, Mario Party 8 is kind of dull IMO. <333
